Greece is an amazingly beautiful country, with great variety of landscapes. Mountains, traditional villages, lakes, rivers, exotic beaches, ski resorts, volcanos, green islands and rocky cliffs create sceneries that everyone would love. These are amazing pictures that will give you reasons to visit Greece and be impressed by its stunning natural beauty.

1. Balos Beach, Chania

Located on the north western side of Crete, in the region of Chania, Balos amazes its visitors at first sight. White sand, turquoise waters and the feeling that you are swimming in a lagoon make this place an internationally awarded beach.

2. Meteora

In a region of almost inaccessible sandstone peaks, monks settled on these cliffs since the 11th century. Although today only 6 monasteries operate, they form the second largest monastic community in Greece, after Mount Athos. The view from the top of the rocks is breathtaking.

3. Oia, Santorini

On Santorini, you will never forget the white villages perched precariously on cliffs overlooking the sea in a giant volcanic caldera. You can sit with your other half forever enjoying the wonderful view of the sunset that is one of the most romantic things you can do in Santorini.

4. Sounio, Athens

At the end of Athens Riviera, is located the Ancient Temple of Poseidon, a well-preserved archaeological site with astonishing view of the Aegean Sea. Under the temple, a small beach with crystal waters and a tavern, where you can eat seafood and drink ouzo, are among the most beautiful places in Athens.

5. Zagorochoria

In the mountains of Pindos in Epirus, 46 traditional villages with gorgeous old stone-built mansions and bridges offer you a breathtakingly beautiful tour for winter holidays in Zagorochoria that you will never forget.

6.  Sarakiniko, Milos

The most photographed landscape of Cyclades, Sarakiniko in Milos island is a moonscape that impresses with its white cliffs, the turquoise waters and the waves hitting the volcanic rocks.

7. Mani, Peloponnese

The rough landscape of Mani, with stone-built towers on the top of rocky hills next to the deep blue sea of southern Peloponnese is of unique beauty that impresses every traveller, who reaches this historical place.

8. Elafonisos

Elafonisos is the most popular beach in mainland southern Greece. Two beaches with the clear waters of the Aegean Sea create a landscape that every summer attracts thousands of visitors, who want to admire the spectacular beauty of nature.
