8 tips for cheap air tickets

Cheap air tickets

Everyone likes traveling and especially the last years, with the existence of the internet, travel portals and applications, anyone can organize easily his holidays on his own. One issue which troubles many people, is the way they will find air tickets on a budget. This is not hard as it might sound, since with the knowledge of some "secrets" of the market you will be able to book some good deals and at last travel to the destinations you always wanted to go.

1.Book your ticket 6-8 weeks earlier

According to the research Expedia and ARC conducted, when it comes to domestic flights, the fairs reach their lowest levels 50-100 days before the departure date. As for the international flights, it would be good to begin your research 6 months before the departure date.

2.Choose Tuesday or Sunday

These two days, with Wednesday, are ideal so to book a cheap air ticket since most people avoid traveling in the middle or at the end of the week.

3.Search for tickets in different airlines

You should not be afraid of traveling with different companies. It does not matter if you leave with Easyjet and return with Ryanair.

4.Do your research in the morning

During the morning you have more possibilities in finding better deals, which would be wise to book instantly since most of them will have gone until the end of the day.

5.Choose morning flights

Most people avoid early morning flights, this means that their price is lower than the most popular midday flights. An alternative is also the late night flight which lands to the destination, very early the next morning.

6.Be careful of the "hidden" fares

The low budget airlines have very luring prices but they are usually "hiding" secret charges. Some of them have to do with extra luggage weight.

7.Subscribe to newsletters

A good idea is to subscribe to the newsletter of traveling portals or websites, so to receive updates about special offers etc.

8.Miles can take you far away

If you are traveling often and especially to international destinations, you should subscribe to a program which offers you as a bonus, extra miles. If you have gathered enough miles you might win a free air ticket, the only thing you will have to do is fly with the companies who will provide you with the extra miles.
