Xanthi is known for its glorious past as a tobacco centre of Europe and once you visit the gorgeous old part of the town you will see some of the most amazing buildings with unique architecture.
The natural park of Nestos, an incredible natural wonder is situated less than an hour away from the centre of the town and you will be surprised to see flamingos on the lake, fantastic species like birds and fishes and some of the most amazing sunsets.
