Island hopping from Milos: where to go next?

Folegandros ● Kimolos ● Milos ● Serifos ● Sifnos ● 17 February 2018

Milos is an amazing island with more than 70 stunning Greek beaches. It is a great stop during your Greek Island Hopping in Cyclades, where you will really understand what emerald waters, impressive landscape around the cave and innumerable beaches mean. For Milos, you need many days in order to explore it, but you have also the possibility to visit other islands around it that are equally beautiful. Some of them have romantic Chora and villages, and other exotic beaches, which prove that not only Milos offers this super asset. Get familiar with them and be prepared for a top experience!

Serifos

Serifos is an island with gorgeous beaches and a typical Cycladic Chora on the top of a cliff, from where you can have a magnificent view of the Aegean Sea and the nearby islands. The central square is the best spot of Chora, where you can relax, eat, drink and buy local products from the shop in the wonderful streets around the square. Beaches like Agios Sostis, Kalo Ampeli and Ganema are one of a kind, while very beautiful is also the beach of the small port (Livadakia), where you can also eat in a tavern at the beach front or have fun until the dawn in the famous bar "Yacht Club".

Sifnos

The capital of Sifnos, Apollonia, is built amphitheatrically around three hills. The village is picturesque, consisting of narrow, pebbled streets, elegant local shops, white arches and Cycladic houses with bougainvilleas hanging on the walls. Apollonia is beautiful like a carte postal and has great nightlife, but very interesting is also the other village of the island, Kastro. Kastro is a romantic place to eat and relax as well as visit the historical medieval site and enjoy the breathtaking view.

Kimolos

Kimolos was, million years ago, part of Milos, and thus, it has the same impressive landscape as well as volcanic and mineral earth, which gives the island its natural product, the chalk that is also the name of the island in Greek. Imposing rocks, emerald waters and a colourful scenery together with a whitewashed, lovely capital is what Kimolos has to offer to its visitors. An off-the-beaten-track paradise, an authentic heaven, which attracts travellers, who want to find the true beauty. Don't miss the beach Prassa, which has white sand and turquoise waters like swimming in the Caribbean.

Folegandros

Folegandros is an unexplored paradise that can give to its visitor different, alternative and unique vacation that is unforgettable for everyone. This small, rocky and mountainous island has become fashionable lately, but at the same time it managed to keep its character. Its Chora is built at the edge of the cliff and has romantic boutique hotels that remind of Santorini. The church overlooking the Chora gives the scenery a spiritual aura. The beaches Agkali and Katergo are the best of the island.
