Most Tropical Beaches in Greece

If you dream to find your tropical paradise on earth, don't go further than Greece! These amazing, exotic and tropical beaches on the Greek islands will make you feel you are in the Caribbean. Trust us, we have discovered them all and here are our best tips!

Lefkada

Lefkada has the most amazing beaches in Greece! The list with beautiful sandy beaches in Greece is long and the competition really hard, as each island has its own unique characteristics in the shape, colour of water and location of every beach. However, Lefkada is a special destination because of its unique and really wonderful beaches. Visit Porto Katsiki and you will feel that you have never ever seen such a unbelievably amazing light blue water.
The beaches are sandy and long and the colour of the sand is pure white. Even the rocks are white and the stones are light and totally white, too. These elements give an amazing colour in the water that is hard to find anywhere in Europe, or Asia.
You can get to Lefkada by ferry from the Ionian sea or you can drive there- it is one of the very few islands in Greece that you can reach with a car.

Kefalonia

Another wonderful Greek island of the Ionian sea, Kefalonia is a unique destination thanks to its gorgeous natural beauty, the high mountains, the culture, the beautiful beaches and the friendly locals.
From all the beaches on the island, Myrtos beach is definitely a must visit and one of the most beautiful and tropical in Greece. It is a long, wide beach surrounded by amazing high rocks and the water is deep blue with great transparency.
You can get to Myrtos beach by car after a very beautiful drive along the coast.
If you are on the island during the high season and August in particular, be prepared to find a lot of people on the beach.

Crete

Crete is a special island because of its unique culture, natural beauty, wonderful mountains and amazing traditional village. The hospitality of the Cretans is one of a kind and one visit will make you want to become a local!
After you taste the local raki and the amazing local cuisine, head to some of the best beaches in Greece and in Europe.
Balos or Falasarna is close to Chania and is definitely one of the most tropical and exotic beaches in Greece.
Amazing water, long and wide sandy beach and a landscape that is out of this world!
If you are on the island during August, the beach can get very busy but as it is quite big you will always find your place in the sun and enjoy it! It is definitely a must if you plan to visit Greece and Crete this summer!

Zante

Zakynthos or Zante is one of the seven island of the Ionian sea and it is known for its great nature, the culture and music and the hospitable locals. One of the most famous beach in Europe is Navagio Beach where the water and the landscape is unique and just stunning!
You can get here by a boat and although it can be very busy in August it definitely worth a visit as you will be amazed by its beauty. Crystal clear blue water, white sand and an old ship wreck left on the beach - and this is how it got the name Navagio (which in Greek means ship wreck).
