Saronic islands, a breath from Athens

The Saronic Islands , are in really close distance from Athens , they are an ideal, timeless destination for weekends and last minute escapes for all seasons.

Aegina

Ideal for one day low-budget excursions, only 35 minutes, with flying dolphin, from Piraeus Port. The picturesque dock with the small cars, neoclassical buildings, groceries, cafes and taverns, around the fish market, will make you forget everything and relax in this timeless destination.

Poros

The neoclassical charm of central Poros, the hillside with the palm trees., the tiny bays and the easy access from Athens are the strong advantages of Poros. The tiny center, which is the port and the capital of the island is filled with neoclassical building, narrow alleys. The beauty of its scenery will make you feel like you are returning to your favorite vacation place. One hour from Piraeus.

Hydra

One of the most atmospheric and picturesque islands of the Saronic, only 1:30 hour from Piraeus, it is ideal for romantic and art weekends. The architectural style of the historic maritime town of the beginning of the 19 century has been well preserved. Inside those historic building is set a sophisticated touristic resort with pretty hotels and timeless meeting points.

Spetses

Majestic and cosmopolitan, Spetses is one of the most elegant Saronic islands. Dapia is the commercial center of the island and the Revolution square is the place where used to lie the canons of the island during the war of 1821. Here no car is allowed so just rent a bicycle and ride around the island. Two hours from Piraeus port.

Agistri

This is the most leafy island of the Saronic complex. It looks like a floating pine tree forest. It lies in the heart of Saronic, just 55 minutes away from Piraeus and 5 minutes from Aegina. It is a suitable destination for families but also for free camping lovers due to its beautiful beaches.
