Travel light: 5 tips to pack less

Greece ● 31 August 2017

You may just have booked Hostelbay Island Pass, which gives you the opportunity to go easily and extremely affordably from one Greek island to another. Or you may have made your reservation at a hostel in Greece, where you won't have much space for your luggage. Whatever the reason, travelling light is a must for young travellers, who want to be carefree while exploring the world. Plus, you don't want to pay a fortune in the airline for your overweight baggage. With these 5 rules, you can pack less and start your journey without worries!

Packing light

Packing less can be a nightmare especially for women, but things are not that difficult. Just keep in mind to pick clothes and accessories that can be easily combined with each other. For example, why to take with you a black pair of shoes together with a brown jacket? If you make that decision, you should then take also a pair of shoes that can be combined with the brown jacket and another jacket that can be combined with the black pair of shoes. Tricky? Not anymore! With these rules, you can prepare your baggage light and in less than an hour.

One top or t-shirt per day

Women want to have the ease to choose among many clothes. But that can't be the case when travelling. Especially in Greece, it is possible that you will be on the beach the whole day, so why packing so many tops and t-shirts? Just one for each day is enough.

Two bottoms for every 5 days

You don't have to wear another bottom every day. In Greece, the best option is to take with you trousers as well as shorts because some days the weather is really hot and some other, especially on the islands, at night the temperature is low.

Two pairs of shoes

Flip flops are perfect for the beach and walking around the pebbled streets of the Greek islands, but of course, you have to take another pair of shoes. In autumn and winter, snickers are perfect for sightseeing and feeling conveniently when walking around the city.

A few accessories

Accessories are amazing and can literally go your outfit to another level. However, sizable accessories, like hats, scarves and purses, are better to stay home. Or you can take with you only the necessary that can be perfectly combined with your clothes in order to get around stylish.

One type of outerwear

Don't put in your luggage jackets, cardigans and coats. The weather can be totally different than you thought, so it is better to have with you only one type of outerwear, which is suitable for more outfits according to the weather.
