Discover the best kept secrets of Mykonos and enjoy the gorgeous beauty of the Greek Island. If you decide to visit Mykonos off season, you will explore a whole brand new and different island away from the busy party days of the summer!

Mykonos is famous for its luxurious life style, the trendy bars and 24/7 clubs, for its unique cosmopolitan aura and its amazing beach bars on the long sandy beaches. If you visit Mykonos during the peak season, you will be surprised by how true its fame is as everything you have heard about this Greek Island is happening for real.
However, if you decide to travel to Mykonos off season, you will experience a totally different vibe and you will have the chance to see the natural beauty of the island without the buzz of the tourism of the summer.
Here is a list with some top tips about what not to miss in Mykonos if you decide to visit it off season.

Agios Sostis Beach

Agios Sostis is a beautiful sandy beach situated on a completely natural landscape. The beach is not organised so do not expect sun beds and umbrellas, beach bars or beach restaurants. There is only one secret little tavern - that is not so secret any more- called Kiki that you can find on the left side of the beach before you go down to lie your beach towel.
Kiki serves delicious traditional dishes with ingredients that are mainly produces on the island- such as cheese, vegetables and meat- cooked all grilled. You will also find fresh fishes and amazing Greek recipes. In August there is usually a big queue of people waiting to find a table. The tavern is not big and the available tables are around 10. When you are in Mykonos off season, you won't have to worry whether you will find a table or not, just get in, enjoy the wonderful sea view and swim in the crystal clear blue water underneath.

The Chora of Mykonos is surely one of the most beautiful of the Greek Islands. Colourful, with lovely architecture, with dozens of shops, bars and little restaurants, galleries and boutiques it has all it takes to make you fall in love with the island instantly. Matogiannia is the most central area of the Chora of Mykonos, where you find the most expensive boutiques and the most people during the summer. It is the place that everyone goes to at night either for a drink, for shopping or for just a stroll down the alleys. If you are on the island off season, you will enjoy the tranquility of the area, while everyone is relaxed, and not too many people are around you to disturb your peace of mind but yet you  have the chance to breath in its glorious past and its cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Agrari Beach

This is a secret escape on the island even during the busy days of summer. You will get to Agrari beach after a scenic drive on a rocky landscape and you will end up to this unspoiled beach where the water is absolutely lovely and beautiful. This is a great choice if you travel to Mykonos with your family and kids as you can find some family taverns on the beach that serve good food and snack and there is not any loud music to disturb the unique quite vibe of the area.
If you travel to Mykonos off season it is even better as the whole surrounding looks totally unspoiled and it makes you relax.
