Meet Athens Riviera

Athens has so much more to offer to the traveler than Acropolis and the historical centre. Meet Athens Riviera, the exotic side of Athens with the beautiful beaches and the wonderful suburbs that are ideal for a visit all year round.

Athens is an exciting city with so many faces, so many different sides of it that you will be amazed by its variety. The Athenian coastline is the new "big thing" of Athens at the moment. Locals love it and tourists have just started to discover its beauty. The amazing weather of Athens is another plus as even in the heart of winter you can enjoy sunshine and warm temperatures as high as 20 C. So let's start our journey from what you need to see if you decide to meet Athens Riviera, the tropical side of the city.

Marina Flisvos

This is the closest escape to Athens Riviera from downtown Athens. It is only 9 Km away from Sydagma square and you can get here very easy using the tram from Sydagma square, or the Metro until Fix station and then you can take a taxi for a short drive up to 7 minutes. You can also get here by bus that you can take from Sydagma square and it will take you here in half an hour.
In Marina Flisvos you can enjoy beautiful cafes and restaurants, a very nice and organised marina with luxurious yachts and sailing boats, athletic parks, nice beaches to swim, and organised parks and kids garden for your kids. You will also find great place to do cycling, running and outdoors activities such as sailing, walking, even kitesurfing if the wind is right.

Mikrolimano

The "island"of Peiraias, a picturesque marina with a wonderful view, many cafes and restaurants with Greek cuizine and fresh fish and some wonderful local architecture from the past. Mikrolimano is perfect during the day especially when the weather is good and sun shines, which is a common phenomenon even in winter in Athens.
Enjoy the view to the busy marina, try to do sailing, or just have your coffee and let your mind travel to the beauty of the surrounding.

The beaches are great for swimming and sailing, cycling, running and walking along the promenade.

Enjoy the wonderful surroundings, the nice promenade and don't miss the natural spa of Vouliagmani thermal lake that is ideal if you want to relax, have your coffee and of course enjoy a unique swimming experience.
Vouliagmeni has also some of the best beaches and the only private beach of Athens inside the 5stars hotel Astir Palace; you pay at the entrance but the beach is just very beautiful with upscale sun beds and beach bars.
