Arolithos Traditional Cretan Village

Arolithos Traditional Cretan Village hotel is situated in a complex of buildings designed in 1980s with the purpose to preserve and show the old traditions and the Cretan architecture. Being located 12 km from Heraklion on a small hill, Arolithos complex represents an authentic Cretan village with the atmosphere of the old days. Arolithos complex provides an accommodation, events and workshops all year round.

Traditional style rooms at Arolithos are located all over the complex in small "neighborhoods' with their own entrance, private balcony or small courtyard overlooking the garden or surrounding hills. Each room features a private bathroom, a refrigerator, a TV and an air conditioning system. The rooms which are used in the winter season have a fireplace that could be used on request.

The complex features a swimming pool where guests can relax and enjoy drinks and small snacks from the pool bar. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served every day in the dinning area and guests can choose from half board, full board or breakfast option according to their needs. Guests at Arolithos can enjoy many social events organized during summer in the open air restaurant with a stunning view or experience the real Cretan nights with folk dances, local dishes and wine organized by the property's tavern.

Many old-fashioned stores with traditional hand made products, including a blacksmith can be found inside the complex as well as the Museum of Rural History and Popular Art, a church or a traditional bakery. The 24 hours reception provides exchange or car rentals services.
