Student and Travellers Inn, the first hostel in Greece since 1977, is located in the heart of the historic part of Athens, Plaka, right below the one and only Acropolis.
Our family-run hostel is in a traditional 150-year-old building set on the most famous street in Plaka.

This means stepping immediately out to a lively center with more than 100 traditional shops, taverns with tasty local dishes, cool coffee shops, roof top cinemas, art and craft shops and many museums and galleries. What sets us aside from the other hostels and what our guests love is the welcoming atmosphere and unique location.

You can choose from a large selection of air-conditioned rooms from the social 8 and 4 bedded dormitories with shared facilities to many private twin or double rooms with en suite facilities. 8-bedded dormitories are located on the upper ground floor and the first floor, the rest of the rooms on the first and second floor.

Our summer garden bar is an ideal place to relax, have drinks or shishas while talking and sharing memories and travel tips with other travellers from all over the world.
Breakfast prepared from the local, fresh ingredients is available every morning in the garden area.

Services and facilities include laundry service (done within hours!), vending machines for quick cold drinks and beers, taxi service, free computers, free maps, book exchange, board games, free wake-up calls and free WiFi in all areas.

Our friendly and experienced staff is very knowledgeable about the area and will give you the best local advice.
In our in-house travel agency you can book trips and ferry tickets you desire to make the most of your visit in Greece.

Please note that there is no parking available. Private, secure parking is available nearby.

Spotless, excellent wifi, friendly staff, comfortable beds and right in the heart of the Plaka. Everything's no more than a ten minute walk away . They could charge triple and you'd still think it was a good deal!

nice hotel, good and cheap breakfast and very nice location.

dorm room was tiny for 3 beds but we were only 2 so it was ok.

we had been in the winter here and we are thinking to come back in the summer because we had a great time in this hostel!!!!

Take the X95 Bus to SYNTAGMA SQUARE [A].From SYNTAGMA SQUARE walk across the Square away from the Parliament building to FILELLINON STREET [B].Turn left and walk 4 blocks until you see 2 bus stops on the right.At the 2nd bus stop you will see the entrance to KIDATHINEON STREET [C].Turn right and The Student & Travellers Inn is down on the right at KIDATHINEON number 16 [D].

From Patras (Peloponnese)

Take the train from Patras to LARISIS STATION (approx 3hours) [A].From there take the Metro (Red Line in the direction of Agios Dimitrios) to SYNTAGMA STATION (4 stops) [B].Turn left and walk 4 blocks until you see 2 bus stops on the right.At the 2nd bus stop you will see the entrance to KIDATHINEON STREET [C].Turn right and The Student & Travellers Inn is down on the right at KIDATHINEON number 16.

From Piraeus Port
